CAPTION: Believe God & Prophet

WORD CREDENCE: 2 Chronicles 20:20 (KJV) “And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper”

God is invariably the Almighty Deity; who alone is the creator of the universe. Meanwhile, a prophet is a God anointed man who is ordained, and gifted to perform miracles and see visions. Prophets receive revelations and divine know-how to proffer solution to believer’s challenges. It is pertinent to understand that it is not enough to believe only in God while snubbing and castigating
His prophets. No, no, no; such faith cannot suffice. Your believe in God establishes your blissful kingdom status with it’s accrued largess. However, your believe in God’s genuine prophet complements your Godly entitlements with graceful prosperity. You will agree with me that the hope of heaven through Jesus’s salvation is complete only when materials abundance is not alienated. God works among the saints by the empowered hand of His ministers. God delivers His people, and sustains them by the ministry of His prophets. These prophets are God’s servants and messengers. They are supernaturally endowed to unravel mysteries; reveal God’s intention, judgement and attention. Prophets are the human agents of the Light. See this graphically described in (Deuteronomy 34:10) “And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face”. Prominent prophets like Daniel, Samuel, Deborah, Isaiah, Zechariah, Jeremiah, Elijah, Elisha, etc, performed outstanding great feat for God by miraculous means. Since Jesus never came to scrap the office of the prophets; we still have authentic prophets of God in this our contemporary time. Leading among several of them is my Prophet, TB Joshua of the SCOAN fame. Nontheless, you need to identify your own prophet among several others in order to prosper. Hear this stern warning in (Proverbs 29:18) “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he”. Naaman, David, Saul, Jehu, Jehoshaphat, Hezekiah, Zarephat Widow, Shunamite Lady, etc, were rescued, delivered, or made by God through prophetic encounters. Prophets are carriers of God’s secrets and Word. There are still many God-sent prophets in spite of some counterfeiters. You need to locate your own prophet. Listen to (Hosea 12:13) “And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved”. May you recognize, and therefore not disregard your Heaven-sent prophet. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

CAPTION: Decisive Decision

WORD CREDENCE: Matthew 5:37 (KJV) “But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil”

Decision means making up one’s mind about some intended actions. It is a clarity of mindset. As well, it connotes being principled; abidding by definite identity, category and classification. Where decision is deficient, confusion takes occupation. Dr. David Oyedepo once said that every street looks identical to a man who does not know his destination. Indeed, decision is direction. Everything in every man’s life and living hinges on daily decision. This is the mother of aspirations. However, decision may make or mar a destiny; depending on it’s quality. Our Lord confirmed this in (Luke 9:62) “And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God”. An indecisive man is like a colorless neutral polish. He sits on the fence without taking a side. Such blokes are never stable, they change color oftentimes like a chameleon. This is not too far fetch from hypocrisy. Prophet Elijah emphasized on this on Mt Carmel. Listen to him in (1 Kings 18:21) “And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word”. Behaving a bat who is neither a bird nor rat is a woeful order of indecision. Meanwhile, indecision is worse than making wrong decision. My fifth published book – ‘Navigation Toward Right Decision’ addresses expressly this topic. Decision in one word means Making-Choice. So, making it right is a product of gathering adequate information; evaluate the data; deeply ponder on it; and act in faith. Nonetheless, sound sense of judgement begets sound decisions. I admonish you decisively decide for God. Hear this in (Joshua 24:15) “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD”. Decide in the light of the Holy Spirit and scriptures. An indecisive driver is a dangerous road user. All outcomes are products of cumulative decisions. It is a matter of the mind. May your heart be peaceful, quickened, sound and positive. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

CAPTION: Offerings of Thanksgiving

WORD CREDENCE: Psalms 107:22 (KJV) “And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing”

Thanksgiving is an act of giving thanks; showing appreciation; and recognising and acknowledging generosity, favor or benefits of God. Without being appreciated, even a man naturally feel as if being robbed. Thanksgiving is a prime and motivator for further benevolence. Likewise in the spiritual activities; thanksgiving keeps open the window of Heaven. It is a covenant requirement and demands for the supply line to remain secure. Thanksgiving is the precipitation of the vapor that releases the replenishing rain of fresh supplies. King David was an ardent praise-singer and thanks-giver; no wonder he never lost any battle. Our Lord Jesus Christ gave thanks on two occasions, and two mighty miracles happened: 1. Lazarus resurrected 2. Multitude fed with a young boy’s lunch. Hear one of these in (John 11:41) “Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me”. When saints offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving, miracle is in the making. Thanksgiving is a spiritual weapon of warfare. King Jehoshaphat prayed with thanksgiving; and ambush finished his adversaries. You too may thank God with your Testimony; Songs of Praise; David’s Order of the Dance; Substances; Worship; Doing His Will; Giving; etc. Thanksgiving is a spiritual weapon of war. Like Noah’s sacrifice, the aroma of thanksgiving is always pleasing to God. A man who despise thanksgiving is vulnerable to becoming barren like Mical. Thanksgiving compels lands to yield increase. It comes with joy in the heart. Thanking God should be often and ceaseless; for all things, in all things. Meanwhile, this is far superior to prayers. Thanking God in anticipation of His divine intervention is a great display of faith. I admonish you to join the triumphant angels of God in Heaven to glorify God and thank Him as in (Revelation 7:12) “Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen”. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

CAPTION: Evil Monitors

2 Kings 20:15-17 (KJV) “And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them. And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD. Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD”

A monitor in this writeup connotes a detector, surveillance, tracker, an undercover, etc. An evil monitor here is an enemy using diabolical, smartness, pretext, or cunning devices to understudy one in order to undermine and befall. These are foes homework preceding attacks. Permit me to tag evil-monitors the unfriendly friends. They always try to extract personal or corporate strategic-information. They manifest in form of harmless, tantalizing baits. These are devil’s agents of stealing, killing and destroying. It is evident that Satanic networks need information to strategize effectively. Therefore, a man may be saved or be destroyed by the use of his own mouth. Divulging personal secrets to disguising enemies is an expressway to defeat. Hear this in (Proverbs 13:3) “He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction”. The saga of Samson and Delilla bothers on mishandling of classified information. Another example was Judas Iscariot. He betrayed his Master by taking bribes to reveal him to adversaries. King Hezekiah’s carelessness with state secrets ignorantly sold his kingdom to Babylonians. Discerning those who spy on you; and of course blocking them; is the assumed responsibility of all decisive winners. Most nasty experience is often initiated and orchestrated by camouflaged evil monitors. Listen carefully to the scriptural admonition in (Micah 7:5-6) “Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom. For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house”. May God deliver you from all satanic spectacles. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

CAPTION: Divine Approval

WORD CREDENCE: Acts 2:22 (KJV) “Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know”

Approval signifies a nod; thumb up; and pass mark. It is the motivation for backup. You may also call it a rubber-stamp or ratification signature. Approval may mean the order to go ahead with convincing authority. Here in this devotional, it connotes divine clearance, permission and commendation. Normally, the authority that issues approvals is usually responsible for the manifestations for performance. That’s more so the reason divine approval always mean divine empowerment. The Lord Jesus was heavenly approved; he went about doing good things of miraculous celestial dimension. Meanwhile, for a man to enjoy supernatural approval; He has to be God-sent. Heaven will not back what the Almighty God has not commanded. However, the Holy Spirit is the seal of metaphysical approval. Hear Jesus instructing the disciples in (Luke 24:49) “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high”. Divine approval is the mother of introductions, fame and announcement. Jesus was inaugurated at River Jordan; commissioned on the Mount of Transfiguration; thereafter, He began making great waves of impacts. The gap between a man and his success story is approval. For examples: Solomon was an approved Wiseman; David was an acclaimed warrior, and great king by divine election; Moses couldn’t have the audacity of looking into Pharaoh’s eyeballs without God’s approval; etc. Approval can As well be best described in the light of Paul’s grace of Apostolic mission. Seek and crave after God’s approvals in every aspect of life projects and ventures. It leads and results in outstanding feats, and graceful fulfillment. For notable and commendable accomplishments; I pray you receive the seal of approvals now. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

CAPTION: Lifted From Mess

WORD CREDENCE: Job 22:29 (KJV) “When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person”

Literally, lifting means being raised above. An upward thrust and tending. It signifies breakthrough. Lifting may as well connotes being promoted, appraised, honoured or advanced. It is a universal crave for everyone to admire and desire better positioning anyway. Hanging on to same old glory is the beginning of stagnation and frustration. Most human efforts are primarily invested towards some personal adjudged growth, progress and betterment. No one admires a status-quo that is never reviewed for improvement. What a nasty experience for a man to keep on living in the past. After All, there is no testimony in backwardness. Tradition is the mother of self-limitation. Hear what God told Israelites in the wilderness in (Deuteronomy 2:3) “Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward”. There is no freshness and refreshing in being static like lake-water. The sure manifestation of spiritual bondage is lack of improvement. Telling the same old story; and remaining in an unyielding, old prayer-point is a sign that the need for deliverance is pertinent. The sure will of God is for believers to rise and shine. The path of the saints is like the shinning light that should progressively shine. Starting little is permitted; but definitely ending little is woeful . Hear more about what God can do in (Psalms 113:7) “He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill”. Joseph, David, Daniel, Esther, Mordecai, Isaac, Obededom, etc, were examples of men who God transformed from glory to glory. Prophet TB Joshua’s slogan is: “The better is not good enough; the best is yet to come”. Listen to this scriptural admonition cum benediction in (Deuteronomy 28:13) “And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them”. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

TODAY’S HEADLINE: Divine Correction

Proverbs 3:11 (KJV) “My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction”

Correction here means making right what is wrong. It is borne of reprimand and discipline. Man is susceptible to diverse mistakes and erroneous judgement; hence, all is in need of some corrections one way or the other. Show me a man who cannot be corrected; I will show you a stone-hearted arrogant one. Meanwhile, no one is perfect and above being called to corrective order. However, it takes the grace of a Moses order of exemplary meekness, for humans to admit wrongs and accept corrections. Since two wrongs cannot make one right; sometimes, making a U-turn is inevitable for one to get it right. Submission to corrections hurts like salt upon the injury of full blown ego. Identifying one’s wrongs is a bitter pill to swallow for the perfectionists. Nonetheless, stiff-necked attitudes may lead one to sudden perdition. Hear this in (Proverbs 15:10) “Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die”. The true agents of corrections are: 1. The Word of God 2. The Conscience 3. Spirit Filled men of God 4. Upright Mentors & Counselors 5. Parents & Elders 6. Teachers & Coaches 7. Edifying Books 8. Experience Acquisitions. It is not too bad to err; rather It is pretty bad when one refuses to make amendment. Hanging on too rigidly is not always the best. Only God and His Word are infallible and ever constant. Every other entity is temporal and therefore subjected to change. I admonish you review and redress thoughts and actions in obedience, as led by the Holy Spirit anyway. May God help your ability to comply in humility. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
