TODAY’S HEADLINE: Repeated Prayers

John 16:24 (KJV) “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full”

Praying incessantly means praying at all times. These praying repeatedly and endlessly connote praying relentlessly. Prayer is a spiritual communication, rapport, banter and dialogue with God. It is necessarily a cord for divine relationship; closer ties; and demonstration of the Kingdom love. However, building spiritual ability, capacity and capability is only a deam, wish, and mirage without developing effectual, fervent prayer lifestyle. Repeated prayer is not a taboo, babbling, or heresy; rather it compels heavenly attention. This is invariably a P.U.S.H. i.e Pray Until Something Happens. Hear this in (1 Thessalonians 5:17) “Pray without ceasing”. There are many Bible examples of repeated, incessant and compulsive prayer interactions with the Most High: Elijah repeatedly prayed on Mt. Carmel until it rained. Moses repeatedly prayed against departure. Apostle Paul repeatedly prayed against a thorn in his flesh. Elisha repeatedly laid himself on the corpse of that lad until he was resuscitated. Jesus prayed several times against His gruesome cross at Gethesmane. Jesus, on another occation prayed for a blind man more than once before he could received back his clear vision. Tennacity is a major factor inducing answered prayers. Listen to the conclusion of one of Jesus’s parable bothering on the essences of repeated prayers in (Luke 18:5) “Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me”. Remember, Jacob said to the angel he wrestled with; I will not let you go until you bless me. I admonish you repeat your request always with faith and strong reasons. Bombard the heavenly throne with your ever steady prayers. May God hear whenever you call. Amen.

TODAY’S HEADLINE: Avoid Wastage

Proverbs 18:9 (KJV) “He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster”

Waste, primarily means loss. It also may indicate squandering; use to no avail; reckless applications; destruction by decadence; disposed leftovers; unnecessary redundancy; demobilized resources; stagnated resources; etc. One thing is obvious about God; He hates any kind of wastage. He abhors wasting one’s life, resources, time, opportunity, money, properties, potentials, efforts, glory, grace, labour, destiny, etc. This wasting of endowments connotes truncation of their usefulness and relevance. What a short-circuited grace! Savour these Bible examples: The gathering of Manna was according to exact family neeeds. The hoarded manna got spoilt. Hear God in (Exodus 16:18) “And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating”. Another similar saga was Jesus’s miracle of feeding the multitudes. The crumbs of twelve baskets were gathered after the mass dinner. Listen to the Lord’s instruction on the remnants in (John 6:12) “When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost”. The optimal use of resources, with maximum impact, is the intention of God. Ostentatious and extravagance lifestyles are wasteful, and therefore not delightful unto Him. Watch the glory of the Almighty in all your dispensaries. The excess you have is for another person. Give out what you don’t need. Sharing is caring. Share, instead of wasting. Distribute the overflow; that is the rewarding religion of God. Your old clothes are as good as new to some fellas. Food daily disposed into your garbage bin is sufficient for some families nutrition. Block all the wasteful vanities. Only needs are essential.

TODAY’S HEADLINE: Necessities of Correction

Proverbs 3:12 (KJV) “For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth”

Correction means restoration by amendments. That is, substituting or replacing the wrong and the inadequate with the right and the appropriate. Correction is pertinent extensively to human society because all are susceptible to blunders, errors and mistakes. Dr. Robert Schuller said in his evergreen book – ‘Tough Time Never Last, But Tough People Do’; that “Show me a man who will not change his mind, he is either perfect or stubborn”. So, if for instance, you climb a coacao tree instead of a palm tree; you need to descend the wrong tree first, before climbing the intended one. You can’t jump that; more so, you are not a specie of monkey. Therefore, decisions and aspirations should sometimes be subject to review or reconsideration. Meanwhile, two wrongs can’t make a right. Listen to (Proverbs 3:11) “My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction”. Bible examples are numerous: Prophet Samuel was corrected by God in Jesse’s house. Job was corrected when erroneously believing God was the cause of his predicament. Correction caused Peter to visit Cornelius household. It takes humility, meekness, understanding and readiness to learn from the school of life. A man who will not accept corrections is a stiff-necked arrogant. Admitting the errors of omission and commission is the mother of repentance borne redemption. Jonah was corrected from a deviated journey. Prophet Balaam was sternly corrected by a armed angel. The agents of correction are the Holy Spirit; the Scriptures; the Conscience; the Prophet; the Revelations; the Truth; unbiased Reprimand; etc. Hardheaded leads to perdition. I admonish you accommodate constructive criticism. It leads to improvements. Shalom!

TODAY’S HEADLINE: Reflecting God’s Wonders

Isaiah 25:1 (KJV) “O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth”

Reflecting here means replaying or recasting. It as well connotes pondering, meditating, thinking, ruminating or musing. Shallow is a man who cannot reflect. He is a man that can never appreciate God, the nature, and fellow man. However, we are here today to reflect on the inexplicable wonders of the Almighty Jehovah. His immensely signs and wonders proclaim the enormity and magnitude of His Most Highness. The Miraculous deeds of this one and only creator of all are His glorious announcers and promoters. Hear (Psalms 148:3) “Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light”. God is incomprehensible, complex, multifaceted, and sophisticated in His marvelous, sovereign performances. I invite you to reflect along with me on these celestial and terrestrial creatures: Planetary System; Galaxies; Animals & Vegetation species; Seasons & Time; Language diversity; Food Production; Mighty Oceans, Valleys and Mountains; Reproduction & Gender; Universal Interdependence; Sleeping & Waking; The Infinite Space; Hurricanes & Earthquakes; Currents & Energy; Life & Death; Jesus’s Cross & Salvation; etc. See (Psalms 86:10) “For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone”. Have you ever sat yourself down, to consider God’s awesome Presence, Grace, Sustenance, Eternity, Heaven, Hell, Angels, Rainbow, Rain, Sunshine, etc,? God is uncontroversial, supreme and great. See some of His unique miracles here: Birth of Jesus; Birth of Isaac; Moses miracles; Strength of Samson; Elijah’s Chariot of fire; Elisha’s Double Portion of Anointing; Jesus’s Resurrection & Ascension; Apostlic Ministries; Pentecostal Order; Joseph’s Elevation; Esther’s Favor; Daniel/Lions; The 3 Hebrews/Furnace; Mordecai’s Elevation; Melchizedek Order; Noah’s Ark; Job’s Restoration; Jabez Restoration; Solomon’s Wisdom; Isaac’s Enviable Harvests; Obededom’s Miraculous Prosperity; etc. God’s doings are breathtaking and overwhelming. Nonetheless, I, Israel Adeniyi Adegbite, am invariably a bunch of great wonders. I conclude this writeup with (Psalms 107:8) “Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!”. Praise the Lord living souls! Hallelujah to Jesus!! Amen!!!

TODAY’S HEADLINE: Rekindled Hope

Job 14:7-9 (KJV) “For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant”

Hope means perceiving there is bright chance or opportunity to get a want; or to achieve a motive or goal. Hope is one of the three virtues of God’s Kingdom. It nurtures faith. So, when hope dwindles, faith wobbles. The main objectives of motivation, preaching, teachings, relationship, counseling, testimony and encouragement are to introduce and induce hope. A raised countenance is at the mercy of hope. Hopelessness is the major reason for depression, and most suicidal ventures. The hope based on physical perceptions is often disillusion and canal. Therefore such is uncertain. Whereas, hope grounded in Ideas; Vision; Prophecy; Word of God; Inspirations; Dreams; is spiritual and tangible. If there was hope of budding for a dead wood (Aaron’s Staff); then no situation is hopeless. If prophecy could revive dead bones, God of Ezekiel can do it again. If our Lord Jesus could resuscitate Lazarus, what could be more hopeless than a burried corpse of four days? A hope rekindled is a hope that always expect miraculous intervention. This kind focuses on divine promise in (Matthew 19:26) “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible”. It is important to note that God cannot lie. He promised to do a new thing. Nonetheless, being in Christ is indeed transforming. This means New Beginning, and New Dawn. Guarding your hope jealously is equal to keeping your faith firmly. Learn from the sage – Abraham Lincoln. Once a failure is not always a failure. Tennacity, Prayers, Hardworking, Connectivity, Joy, Justification, Insight, revelations, Enthusiasm, etc, are the energy propelling hope. Everything about Christian faith bothers on living hope. Salvation for example, is the assurance of heaven. Giving is the hope of receiving. Hear this assurance in (Proverbs 23:18) “For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off”. Christ in us is the Hope of glory. Hope connotes cheerful, confident expectations. May you not lose it. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
