TODAY’S HEADLINE: Multifaceted Man
Wednesday, 27th February, 2018

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” 1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV

Man is indeed a complex being. His anatomy is multi-systems. His faculty is dynamic, split and diversified. He is essentially a spirit, having a soul, living in a body. All these components are supposed to work and function complementarily, if life must continue meaningfully. Miserable experiences set in when anyone of the three consisting principal partners displays some inadequacy, weakness or deficiency. For instance, if the body is sick or mangled, the accommodation of the soul-bearing spirit is threatened. If the illness or wound is not addressed effectively in a good time, it may break and demolish the body edifice; thus may result to the termination of the tenancy agreement and arrangement of the spirit. The permanent ejection of the spirit from the body is physical death. Body is therefore temporal in existence. It can’t survive the exit of the spirit. This may as well come at the expiry and disintegration at old age. Meanwhile, soul is the mind, faculty, irritability and consciousness. When the soul is defective, man is out of his mind. Coherency in thinking is therefore adversely affected. However, the case of the spirit is different. The spirit is endlessly eternal. It is the real man resident in the flesh. That is the infinite life of the spirit-man. This soul-carrying spirit of man eventually has two objective destinations; heaven or hell. A man who may not abuse himself must always consider the importance of his trio-components, and their harmonious coexistence. In conclusion, TB Joshua said: “Man is a spirit being living in the physical body, learning how to function in the natural”. I pray it is well with your body, spirit and soul. Amen.

TODAY’S HEADLINE: God of Measures
Tuesday, 27th February, 2018

“Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?” Isaiah 40:12 KJV

Measures may mean tactical maneuver, steps, precision, balance, gauge, values, etc. However, in today’s teachings, measure means weighing and dimension. It is noteworthy to understand that there is no trial and error in the determinations of the Most High. Our God has decisions and intentions. He directs His affairs without ambiguity and confusion, with commitment towards his aims and objectives. No one gets it right with God if divine targets are missed. Covenant issues bother on heavenly tracks. You know Jesus is the way. In God’s Kingdom, focus, labours and efforts deviated from the standard of God’s Word may not suffice. Measures are important in man’s daily endeavors. Thoughts, Words and Actions must be weighed. Overestimation of oneself means arrogance and pride. Sans some responsible checkmate, destructive recklessness may sets in unnoticed. Good planning is achieved by correct evaluations. The right appropriation of resources comes with divine sense of discipline. Also, proper allocation of time is a product of value measurements. God deals with measures in all His engagements and judgement. That is the reason for His being the Just Judge. For things to work well accordingly, proper appreciation of appropriations is not an option. Failing to plan is automatically a plan to fail. Measure attracts reciprocated measure. Hear this further more in (Luke 6:38) “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”. Even the grace of the Spirit is released by divine measures. I admonish you to be mindful and beware of your life inputs; these are sown seeds you will reap upon maturity. It is like computer’s attitude: Garbage in, garbage out.

TODAY’S HEADLINE: The Key
Monday, 26th February, 2018

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth” Revelation 3:7 KJV

The metal device designed to lock and unlock a door is commonly referred to as key. However in this context; the key here means solution, access, control, Authority, important, major, etc. Meanwhile, today we are led to consider The Key as the spiritual instrument of breakthrough. The Yorubas (My tribesmen in Nigeria) often say: Being strong and hefty does not automatically provide entrance to a vault, even a frail man with the key is availed the opportunity. One thing is to have a key, another thing is it to possess the right key. Only the right key can open up an embedded graceful destiny. Since Jesus Christ is the Living, True Way; He as well is the everlasting Key who has the custody of the key to all encompassing breakthrough. This Key of David, that can lock and unlock, connotes these covenant grace and responsibilities: Wisdom, The Word, Endowments, Obedience, Empowerment, Knowledge, Divine Connections, Vision Borne Mission, etc. This Key of David is a determinant of destiny fulfilment. It unfolds the mystery of counselling, clue and solution. These foster relevance, confidence and glorification. I pray for somebody: You will have answer to riddles and issues of life. Amen.

THE HEADLINE: God’s Faithfulness

Saturday, 24th February, 2018

“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassion fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness” Lamentations 3:22‭-‬23 KJV

Faithfulness is the quality of being stable in fidelity. As well, it may mean a state of committed Dedication, Loyalty, Purpose and Constance. The faithfulness of God starts and ends with his infallible Word. What He says He will do He will do. God is not double mouthed; His Word is His bond. His promises are good as being already fulfilled. God’s faithfulness is manifested in His ever abiding dependability, reliability and responsibility. His memory is super sound; and He has the supreme power to execute His sovereign aims and desires. His passionate covenant with Abraham concerning a future delivering of his seed was brought to pass in Egypt 430 years after. His promised release of the Savior Jesus through prophet Isaiah and other men of God came to pass through Joseph and Mary at Bethlehem. God is Invariably dignified by His truthful and enduring declarations. He doesn’t dribble, neither does He deny His own. His faithfulness endures forever. Has God issued out His Memorandum of Intent to you? Follow up unshakeable in hope, and standby in faith. He will not fail you. Hear this: “O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee”(Psalms 89:8) The Lord is good indeed, all the time. I have experienced many first-hand encounters to witness this to you. Rest your belief absolutely in God.

THE HEADLINE: Faith
Thursday, 22nd February, 2018

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not see” Hebrews 11:1 KJV

Faith is best described by the above quoted scripture text. However, Faith simply means a strong belief that is unflinchingly expectant, regardless the seemingly prevailing situation. This faith is not self muttered; it is a gift from God. It is only this God’s kind of faith that compels miracle to happen. Without this order of trusting faith, it is difficult to please God. It is worthy of emphasis to note that faith originates from God (You know, God and His Word are same). Hence this truth in (Romans 10:17) “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”. Is any man seeking an ever living and increasing faith? Let such start befriending the infallible Word of God as the standard for life; and as well connect to the Spirit behind the Word. The Word is Spirit and life. It is also a tool in the hand of the Holy Spirit. Meanwhile, faith is a ‘now’ phenomenal; but it may only work effectually with Hope, Love and Patience. Faith believes before sighting. Faith rejoice ahead of answer to prayers. Faith can dare any conditions like those of Esther and Daniel. Faith is a universal currency that is of immense value in all lands. Faith that does not swing cannon dwindle. No obstacles can withstand faith. Faith is a spiritual shield. And the just shall not live by their righteousness, but solely by their faith. Peter floated on the sea walking by faith. Abraham obeyed God by faith. Only a faithless man is a helpless man. Be admonished by this: “Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck” (1 Timothy 1:19) All things are yours by faith. So, depend absolutely on God. Amen.

THE HEADLINE: Peace Of God
Wednesday, 21st February, 2018

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” Philippians 4:6 KJV

Worries, fears, anxiety, stress, war, uproars, are the antonyms of peace. Nothing described peace better than harmony, tranquility, serenity, settlement, rest, relaxing, bliss, etc. However, peace is very desirable, and very necessary to progress, joy, relationship, and pursuit of life mandates. Clamouring for peace without first searching out for the true love is a mirage, and efforts in futility. Where love is disrupted, peace is strangulated. All is normally well in any peaceful environment. Whereas, chaotic situations herald all forms of anomalies, pains and heartlessness. Wickedness thrive where peace is not established. This divine peace is Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior – the author of calmness and restoration. See the confirmation in (Isaiah 9:6) “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace”. Therefore, for peace to reign, you need to Imbibe these; Dwell In Love, Avoid Disputes, Forgive yourself and others, Eschew Arguments, Imbibe Understanding, Be Gentle, Admit Mistakes, and Be Kind-hearted. I pray for you: “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7) Shalom!
