TEXT: Daniel 3:30 “Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, in the province of Babylon”.
Promotion simply means being lifted, raised, advanced, announced, acclaimed, augmented, helped, supported, sponsored, enlarged, commended, etc. A wise man once said: There is no such great man that is not in the first place a helped man. No matter how hardworking Paul is at planting; and how diligent Apollo is at watering; all may be fruitless sans the complementary inputs of the divine providence. Therefore, promotion bothers heavily on the grace, which is indeed the divine favour. Hear this further in Psalm 75:6-7 “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another”. While exerting the best of efforts to attain success is essential; non recognition of the place of the help from above may reduce a man to either a struggler or an ingrate. Listen to Apostle Paul elaborating this in 1 Cor 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am …..”. Not only those in entertainment, sports and business need promotion and sponsorships; everyone craving fulfillment needs it much as well. For an enduring and progressive rising and shinning; embracing humility, holiness, light of Jesus, looking up only unto the Lord, standing upon His word, are not options. I admonish you imbibe Job 22:29 “When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person”. I pray you receive the same favour that made Mordecai, Joseph, Daniel, Jesus, Peter, Jacob, etc. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
