THEME: CELEBRATING NEW ‘ETHANIM’
AUTHOR: Rev’d Israel A. Adegbite

TEXT: Leviticus 23:41 “And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month”.

We have every cause to appreciate and therefore celebrate God’s grace, sustaining, provision, protection, empowerment, correction, leadings, etc. Jehovah saw us through to the second half of the year 2016. It is the ever abiding presence of Yahweh that is preventing us from being consumed. Many trees have falling. Lots of runners have been wasted away by the roadside. Hear this confirmation in 2 Samuel 1:27 “How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!”. Our continuing is His grace. It is not by our power, neither is it by our might. It is only by the Spirit of the Lord. Today, as we step into the new month of July, God will perfect all your graceful endeavors. You shall rise and shine for your light has come. No weapon targeted at you shall prosper. The Lord is your Shepherd, so you shall not want. In this seventh month, God is contending with all the antagonizing enemies of your glory. The Holy Spirit ensures your absolute liberty. In this new month of ETHANIM, you shall have reasons to celebrate and be celebrated. Your long awaited feasting time has finally come. Henceforth you shall enjoy life and no more need to endure living. Hear this in Numbers 29:1 “And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you”. Concerning you and all yours there is no more sorrow. Through you, people shall glorify and bless the name of God. In the name of Jesus. Amen. Happy New Month Of July!!!!!!!

THEME: GIVING BEGETS GIVING
AUTHOR: Rev’d Israel A. Adegbite

TEXT: Ecclesiastes 11:1 “Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days”.

Today’s Bible text connotes giving. Giving is an act of benevolence. It is a generous offering of one’s valuable; on the altar of love; to meet the desperate need of another man. Giving is the religion of God. It is not a wasteful venture anyway; rather it is bountifully rewarding. As seed sowing is necessary to a farmer who desires harvest; so also is giving very important to a believer who is expecting to prosper. Therefore, reaping is conditional and commensurate to sowing. God offered Jesus His only son; now He is reaping millions. That widow got her debt terminated by offering a jar of oil. That Zarephat widow escaped devastating famine by offering food to prophet Elijah. Abraham unknowingly offered hospitality to those strangers, he got Isaac. That Shunemite woman became a mother by acts of generosity. Dorcas was resuscitated because of the testimonies of giving. It is worthy of note that God is not a user of man, He rather rewards those who seek Him diligently. Giving to the poor is lending to God. The return is always in greater measure. Listen to Psalm 41:1-3  “Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.  The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.  The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness”. I admonish you pay your tithe; give to the needy; assist others; give succour to the afflicted; raise hope for the hopeless; feed the hungry; cloth the shabbily; counsel the confused; intercede for others in prayers; etc. Drawings answer only unto the Contributions. Let a believer receive the grace to lay down. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

THEME: DIVINE LEADINGS
AUTHOR: Rev’d Israel A. Adegbite

TEXT: Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”.

Divine leadings means accurate knowledge and discerning the will and way of God. Assumption,  gambling, trial and error are the common attitudes leading majority of people into serious troubles. Little do they know that life is not by gambling but by planning. However, effective planning may only surface through the right leadings. Off the track rascally and wrong ventures will emerge where the leadership is not surrendered to the Lord Jesus; who Himself is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. Leaning upon canal understanding is dangerous. Hear the Lord’s word on this in Isaiah 55:8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord”. The Holy Spirit; the Word of God; the Wisdom of God; the Elders Counseling; the Prophets; the Visions; Inquisitive Enquiries; etc; are some of  the outstanding agents of divine leading. Godly leadings are greatly beneficial towards achieving life purpose. A man who is divinely led is a graceful son of God. See these examples: Divine leadings led David into absolute restoration; Jehoshaphat into victory; Isaac into sojourning at Gera; Jacob into sprawling wealth in the house of Laban; Joseph into accepting Mary’s pregnancy, and escaping Jesus to Egypt; etc. Listen to this scripture in Jeremiah 42:3 “That the Lord thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do”. Only a Spirit led man is exempted from this end time predominant confusion, wrong moves, traps, misleadings, etc. Blurred insight may woefully cause a man to put the cart before the horse. However, waiting upon the Lord is neither an option nor a waste of time for a man who will get it right. Hear Prophet Habakkuk in Habakkuk 2:1 “I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved”. I pray for a believer: May you be divinely instructed. May you be able to adhere strictly to godly directives. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

THEME: JESUS IS COMING BACK
AUTHOR: Rev’d Israel A. Adegbite

TEXT: 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance”.

The prophecy of the second coming of the Lord Jesus is neither a folklore tale nor is it a fake appointment; rather it is a tangible will and sure agenda of God. In the first place, we should be convinced invariably that God cannot lie. The fulfillment of this promised return might have been long awaited; it shall indeed come to pass. This vision is for an appointed time. The time is known to only the Almighty God. However it must happen; and will occur like a flash on one particular day; at an appointed hour; in a divinely fixed minute; and at a cogent second. Hear this and be encouraged in Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”. Be among the five wise virgins that waited at alert for the groom. History tends to be repeated in this case; for as it was in the time of Noah, so shall the coming of the Lord be. Noah sternly warned the then world but he was rebuffed, shunned and jested until the devastating flood came. Jesus was here as a salvaging and redeeming ark; He shall be returning as a decisive judge. The era of mercy is still here. Failure to accept the amnesty and the bailout of the cross of Jesus will definitely lead to the irreversible damnation. Heaven and hell are as much real as this physical earth. Where you land hereafter is a function of how you had lived while here. Listen to another  confirmation of the Lord’s second coming in Acts 1:10 “And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up fupm you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven”. The day of reckoning will soon come. What shall be your recompense when Jesus comes? Hear Him speaking to you in Rev 22:12 “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be”. Do yourself a favour, mind and mend your ways now before it is too late. Being in the church may not mean being a candidate of heaven. May you be well prepared to meet the Lord in holiness. May you not miss the impending rapture. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

THEME: GOD’S PRESENCE
AUTHOR: Rev’d Israel A. Adegbite

TEXT: Romans 8:31 “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

The presence of God is most dreaded by satanic forces. It commands sacred virtues that manifest the authority, power and values of the Most High Deity. This awesome presence of the light cannot be dared by the cohorts of darkness. The revelation of who God is is manifested in His glorious presence. Anywhere this marvelous, unspeakable and inexplicable divine presence is established, no satanic treacherous devices can survive. Hear this in Habakkuk 2:20 “But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him”. God’s presence is the reason for godly signs, wonders, miracles, empowerment, light, leadings, exploits, outstanding accomplishments, promotion, fullness of joy, etc. Divine presence was responsible for the deliverance of Daniel from lions; Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from the fiery furnace; Peter from prison; Paul and Silas from dungeon; David from Goliath; Jacob from the evil intentions of Laban; Job from severe afflictions and sorrow; Lazarus from conclusive death; Joseph from destiny destroyers; etc. It is this same unchangeable God’s presence that may transform a man from natural to supernatural; ordinary to extraordinary; physical to metaphysical; reed postures to bold postures; feather weight to heavy weight; disgrace to grace; nonentity to famous; irrelevance to celebrity; feebleness to potency; weakling to mighty valiant; etc. This presence of God is the Glory, Spirit, power and Anointing of God. It changed the countenance and expression when Moses contacted it on Mt Sinai. Divine presence is all we need to have all our needs met. It is the commander of the much sought divine intervention. God’s presence is the reason we are victorious and not consumed. I implore a believer to pray the king David’s prayer in Psalm 51:11 “Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me”. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

THEME: WOES OF INDOLENCE
AUTHOR: Rev’d Israel A. Adegbite

TEXT: Proverbs 6:6 “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise”.

Indolence is an attitude of laziness, lay back, slackness, procrastinating, and complacency. It is a state of foolish idleness. In other words, an indolent is a sluggard; someone lacking pursuits, aspirations, diligence and agility. Please hear this: Aspiration is only a wish where diligent followup is not dedicatedly committed. Idleness tends towards poverty and penury; only the heart of the diligent is made fat. It is a familiar saying that if you can’t fly, run; If you can’t run, walk. If you can’t walk, crawl. Just keep going about some worthwhile workings by the dynamism of the kinetic energy. The wealth gathered by fraud shall diminish; only those who gather by labour shall endure. According to Amos 6:1, too much relaxation is a woeful curse. Perspiration cannot be an alien if accomplishment will be realized. Hear this in  Proverbs 10:4 “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich”. You know a common saying that ‘If wishes are horses, beggars would ride’. Nothing works without somebody working at it. If the Grace must perform, it has to be deliberately committed. Faith is dead without some complementary efforts to ignite it. No idle man is expected to be found at any dinning table. The task of sowing may be laboriously sorrowful, but joyfulness comes with the dawn of harvest. Climbing will in no doubt extracts sweat, but arriving at the top will herald glaring succour; for the higher you go the cooler it becomes. Listen to this admonition in Proverbs 6:10-11 “Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:  So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man”. I pray for the divine strength that will propel a believer to mega success. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
